Vietnam Vegetable Oils Industry Corporation (VOCARIMEX) is a state-owned company, established pursuant to Decision No. 452/ CNn-TCLÐ dated 6 June 1992 issued by Ministry of Light Industry, presently Ministry of Industry. Previously, the Company was known as South Vegetable Oil Company, belonging to Ministry of Food and Foodstuff, established in 1976. Presently, the Company is operating under the form of Parent – Subsidiary Company pursuant to Decision No.175/2004/QD-BCN dated 23 December 2004 issued by the Ministry of Industry.

Major business lines:

•	Producing and trading in vegetable oils, animal fats, essential oils, aromas, cosmetics, toiletries, coconut shell charcoal, and products from oil plants;
•	Processing animal feed; producing and trading in packing;
•	Exporting, importing and trading in materials, raw materials, vegetable oils, essential oils, oil-based agricultural and forestry products, and particular materials and equipment serving the company’s functions;
•	Operating a port and supplying port services for im-exportation of vegetable oils and other commodities;
•	Providing rent services of storages, yards, office building; and
•	Investing and developing raw material region (oilseed growing region)
