Established in 1997 by Vocarimex and LG CHEM, Korea, to invest in a factory producing cosmetics and toiletries with capacity of 2.747 million units of products per year.

From the beginning, the two vegetable oil JVs have applied advanced technology with high capacity, which helps to increase the total capacity of Vocarimex and JVs up to 410,000 MT per year at the end of 2002. These JVs also have significant contribution in the growth of the whole industry and help to diversify product range to over 20 kinds of oil products from refined oils (sesame, groundnut, soybean, coconut and cooking oil) to roasted oils (sesame and groundnut oil), shortening, margarine, vegetable ghee (exported to Middle East), nata de coco and coconut cream, etc. Market share held by Vocarimex and JVs is now up to 95%. |

LG-VINA, the cosmetic JV, has developed cosmetics and toiletries business (make-up and skin care products, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) to supply for local market. Its brand name DeBON has become a favourite one to domestic consumers, especially young people. Its market share is approximately 20%.
The three JVs not only help to create jobs for local labor but also have considerable financial contribution to the government. An important part of their profits have been used for re-investment to expand capacity and improve equipment. These JVs are also active in using material from local source and search for new markets.
 External relationships have given the company opportunities to keep up with new techniques, technologies and management skills of the world to apply them in Vietnam, and at the same time, enhance the reputation of Vocarimex in the global market.
